The region

During your stay at Domaine de Trestraou, you’ll have the opportunity to see the unmissable sights of Perros-Guirec :

  • The pink granite rocks of Ploumanac’h (access via GR34 coastal path),
  • Sept-Iles ornithological reserve,
  • The different parts of the town: the Port, Trestrignel, the town centre, Trestraou, La Clarté, Ploumanac’h.

In neighbouring towns:

  • Pleumeur Bodou: the Radome (1 of the first 2 satellite antennae ever to be built!), Planetarium, Telecommunications Museum, authentic Gallic Village.
  • To the West: Trégastel, Ile Grande (LPO ornithological centre), Trébeurden
  • Medieval settlements: Tréguier, Lannion, Guingamp, Dinan

There are many other attractions along the stretch of coast from the bay of Morlaix (30 mins to the West of our site) to the port of Paimpol (30 mins to the East): Cairn of Barnenez, Château du Taureau, gulf of Plougrescant, Sillon de Talbert, isle of Bréhat etc.

We can help you organise days out in Brittany based on your interests:

  • Feudal châteaux and manor houses,
  • Abbeys, churches, chapels, cloisters and parish lands,
  • Medieval towns,
  • Megalithic monuments,
  • Areas of natural beauty, etc.

Both the rugged coast and inland regions offer a rich variety of things to see.

You will probably spot various walking groups and societies exploring the paths between the beaches, the little fishing ports and the moors.

Walks in Brittany are full of amazing discoveries!
